Roanoke’s Explore Park brings dinosaurs to life with the T-Rex Trail

Roanoke, Virginia – Explore Park revives its beloved T-Rex Trail, inviting all to plunge into an intriguing journey through a time when dinosaurs were the lords of the earth.

Alex North, the Marketing Administrative Coordinator, shared the thrilling features that await visitors on this adventure. He said, “Folks can travel back in time along our trail with 19 animatronic dinosaurs, five new giant insects, some photo-ops, a dino dig pit, and some new features as well.” This trail is not only designed for fun but also serves as an educational platform that reveals a little about each dinosaur from the Triassic, Jurassic, and both late and early Cretaceous periods.

A unique addition to the journey is a video series that infuses an educational twist into the narrative. As North revealed, “We also have a video series which is education, which features Dino Don, so you’ll travel back in time to get him back to the future and learn a little bit about some dinosaurs as well.”

The T-Rex Trail, a journey teeming with prehistoric life, kicks off today and will welcome visitors through to August. It offers a competitive ticketing system, with prices set at $10 for children aged 2 to 15 and $15 for everyone aged 16 and above.

A small saving on tickets is possible for those who plan ahead, as a $1 discount is offered for tickets booked in advance through the Roanoke County Parks website.
