Powerball ticket worth one million dollars sold at Dublin 7 Eleven remains unclaimed
Dublin, Virginia – A lucky Powerball player in Dublin is holding onto a ticket worth $1 million—and they might not even know it yet. The winning ticket was purchased at the 7-Eleven located at 4625 Cleburne Boulevard, and it matched the first five numbers drawn in the November 12 Powerball drawing.
Only One Ticket in Virginia Matched Five Numbers
The winning numbers for the November 12 drawing were 29, 39, 43, 51, 65, with the Powerball number 23. The ticket matched all five white balls but missed the red Powerball number, making it eligible for a $1 million second-tier prize.
“Whoever has the ticket has 180 days from the drawing date to claim the prize. The Virginia Lottery advises that before doing anything else, the winner should immediately sign the back of the ticket to establish ownership. When the person is ready to claim the million-dollar prize, he or she should contact the Virginia Lottery.”
This was the only ticket in Virginia to match the first five numbers in Wednesday’s drawing, and one of only two in the entire country. No one matched all six numbers, so the jackpot rolled over and has now grown to an estimated $546 million for the Saturday night drawing.
As a reward for selling the million-dollar ticket, the 7-Eleven store will receive a $10,000 bonus from the Virginia Lottery.
Powerball drawings take place every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. The odds of hitting all six numbers and winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million, while the odds of winning any Powerball prize are 1 in 25.
For now, the mystery winner remains unknown—but their life could change dramatically once they come forward.
