Husband and wife, who forced teenage girl living in their home to snort illegal drugs multiple times and indecently assaulted her over a period of three years, were charged
Arkansas – In a deeply disturbing incident that has stunned Arkansas, a 34-year-old man, identified as Daniel C., and his 28-year-old wife, identified as Annie C. are facing multiple criminal charges after being accused of systematically abusing a teenage girl living in their home over a long period, forcing her to snort illegal drugs on multiple occasions, and subjecting her to severe physical and emotional cruelty.
Daniel and his wife, Annie, were arrested on May 9 and now face a slew of charges connected to the prolonged abuse of a teenage girl who had been living under their roof. The arrests came after the girl confided in a school counselor, revealing horrifying details that led to a full investigation by the police department. Daniel is charged with terroristic threatening, se-ual assault, ra-e, permitting abuse of a minor, and endangering the welfare of a minor. His wife, Annie, faces charges of introduction of a controlled substance into the body of another person, battery, terroristic threatening, permitting abuse, and endangering the welfare of a minor.
According to court documents, the girl stated that Daniel indecently assaulted her repeatedly over a period of three years and that Annie not only witnessed some of the assaults and did nothing to prevent them but also later escalated the abuse herself. At one point, Annie allegedly stabbed the teen in the neck with a fork because she didn’t clean the dishes well enough. The teen described harrowing living conditions to investigators. She said she was often forced to sleep in a bathtub without a blanket or pillow and was fed just once a week, and given only a glass of water. The girl also told authorities that she suffered a broken leg, but both Annie and Daniel refused to take her to the hospital, leaving her to recover without medical care.
Even more disturbing were the claims of forced drug use. The victim told police she was force to snort illegal substances, including fentanyl, cocaine, methadone, and methamphetamine. She said Annie forced her to snort drugs at least four times, and that she was also made to participate in drug deals involving the couple. According to the affidavit, the girl was punched, kicked, pushed into walls, and regularly subjected to verbal abuse. She said she told Daniel “No” during the assaults and begged him to stop, but her pleas were ignored.
The victim said that when Annie first witnessed one of Daniel’s indecent assaults, the couple “talked about it,” and afterward, Daniel threatened to kill Annie. That threat, she explained, contributed to her fear and silence for so long. It wasn’t until April 2025 that the girl, now feeling safer and surrounded by people who she believed would protect her, found the courage to report what had happened. She told her school counselor she could no longer “live with the guilt thinking it was her fault anymore.” That disclosure prompted law enforcement to launch a formal investigation, which led to the couple’s arrest.
Both defendants were booked into the county detention center following their arrest. The specific relationship between the teen and the couple has not been publicly confirmed, but law enforcement has indicated the abuse took place across multiple undisclosed locations and spanned three years. Authorities have yet to announce trial dates or whether the couple has entered pleas to the charges. The case continues to develop as prosecutors prepare to pursue accountability for what they’ve described as “years of calculated cruelty and exploitation.” For now, the teen survivor is receiving support, and her courage in coming forward may help bring justice after enduring years of unthinkable torment behind closed doors.
