The overall odds of winning any prize in the game are 1 in 2.96.
Despite his big win, McCluster, who works in construction, has modest plans for his newfound wealth. He mentioned that he intends to use the money primarily to pay off bills, choosing to keep his life as grounded as possible.
In addition to celebrating McCluster’s win, it’s worth noting the broader impact of the Virginia Lottery. All profits from the Lottery are directed to K-12 education in the state. Mecklenburg County, where McCluster purchased his winning ticket, received over $4 million in Lottery funds for its schools in the last fiscal year.
