National Forest Service calls for public feedback on recreational fee amendments

Roanoke, Virginia – The National Forest Service is currently evaluating a set of proposed amendments regarding recreational fees within the George Washington and Jefferson National Forests.

The public is cordially invited to provide their feedback on these proposals until October 31.

Each feedback received will undergo careful review and may influence the decision on the specific proposed fee modifications.

Among the numerous proposed alterations, notable mentions include adjustments to the Sherando Lake Day Use swimming area and the Crabtree Falls Day Use viewing location.
