EnVision Center’s open invitation: Free food, games, and resources today
Roanoke, Virginia – In a move to promote community engagement, a community cookout is scheduled for today, starting at 11 a.m. The invitation is open to all, offering an excellent opportunity for weekend socializing.
The event is hosted by the EnVision Center, conveniently situated across from Lansdowne. The Center anticipates an enjoyable gathering, fostering unity and interconnectedness among community members.
Embracing inclusivity, the event is open-ended, extending a warm welcome to all residents. A selection of free food, engaging games, varied activities, and child-friendly art sessions are lined up to ensure a memorable time for all attendees.
The organizers view this event as a golden opportunity for community members to forge new connections and get actively involved in community development.
Greg Goodman, the Director of Community Support Services, passionately elaborated on the intended outcome of this initiative, “I want them to know there are a ton of resources specifically in the Northwest community. Really is just as simple as coming to one location and you can get employment, educational, (and) mental wellness help. So, there’s just a ton of services that are out there.”
This community cookout serves as a platform for residents to not only socialize but also to explore numerous resource opportunities available in the Northwest community in the domains of employment, education, and mental wellness. The essence lies in the simplicity of accessing these numerous services at a single location, enriching community life.
