State’s largest fair returns to Roanoke Valley on June 28
Salem, Virginia – The much-anticipated annual Salem Fair returns to the Roanoke Valley, offering over 40 exhilarating rides and a culinary extravaganza from more than 30 food vendors, spread over a generous 14-acre venue.
As the largest fair in the state, this prominent event will occupy the town from June 28 through to July 9. During weekdays, the fairgrounds welcome visitors from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m., and on Saturdays and Sundays, the gates open at 12 p.m. and close at 10 p.m.
Fair attendees can expect to experience 41 exciting rides, featuring fan favorites such as the 4×4 Quad Runner, Dragon Coaster, Fireball, the Haunted Mansion, and the Vertigo, among many others.
Entertainment comes in many forms at the fair, including the Danny Grant Cowboy Circus, Aussie Kingdom Animal Adventure, Hilby: The German Juggling Boy, and Scott’s World of Magic, contributing to the diverse attractions.
Live music will enrich the event every night at 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., performed at the Hart Motors Musical Stage. In addition, a special fireworks celebration will illuminate the sky on the 4th of July, an experience not to be missed.
Carnival food favorites will be in abundance, ensuring attendees are well-fed and satisfied. The food vendors will offer a mouthwatering range of treats from fried Oreos, funnel cakes, and bacon burgers, to turkey legs, hot dogs, and the ever-popular kettle corn.
