Roanoke Regional Partnership seeks artists for mural project

Roanoke, Virginia – Roanoke Regional Partnership has issued an open invitation for four emerging artists to lend their creative skills to enhance the aesthetics of its boardroom.

The organization has planned four murals, each reflecting one of its fundamental principles:

  1. Advancement and innovation in economics
  2. Livability
  3. Business real estate and infrastructure
  4. Recruitment of talent

Artists keen on participating in this endeavor should express their interest by emailing [email protected] as soon as possible, specifying the theme they would prefer to portray. Preliminary designs are to be executed on 2’x2′ panels and must be submitted by the deadline of midnight, Wednesday, June 21.

The chosen artists for the project will be informed of their selection by Friday, June 23, and the theme they will be tasked to illustrate.

Each of the four murals is set to measure 5’x5′. The selected artists will be expected to complete their work within their own premises. The deadline for completion of all murals is July 7. Artists will be remunerated at a rate of $1,200 per panel.

It is important to note that all participating artists are expected to provide their own paint. The canvas, however, will either be supplied or the cost will be reimbursed by the Roanoke Regional Partnership.
