Roanoke, Virginia – The Roanoke Police Department reported that a shooting incident occurred at Tazewell Avenue and 8th Street in southeast Roanoke overnight, resulting in the hospitalization of at least one individual.
The incident was reported to the authorities at approximately 12:20 a.m., following which they promptly arrived at the scene. However, upon their arrival, they found no victims at the location.
Shortly after, they were alerted that a person had been transported to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
No suspects have been identified in connection to this unfortunate incident as it remains an active investigation.
The police department is currently working towards clearing the scene and gathering any available evidence.
