Roanoke firefighters responded to an early morning house fire
Roanoke, Virginia – The Roanoke Fire-EMS Department has reported that their crews responded to a house fire that occurred on March 12th.
The incident happened in the early hours of the morning, around 4:30 a.m., when crews were called to the 900 block of Hartsook Blvd SE following reports of a house fire with someone inside. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered smoke coming from a single-story home and learned that the individual had safely escaped the flames.
Firefighters immediately began emergency efforts to extinguish the fire, and they were able to do so quickly. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but the unfortunate death of a cat was confirmed. The American Red Cross has offered assistance to the residents who were affected by the incident.
